SEN & Dyslexia Specialist Tuition in Bexleyheath

At Horizon Tuition we have professional teachers who are specially equipped to tutor students with SEN (Special Educational Needs) and Dyslexia.  Whether your child has been assessed by the local council as having SEN or not, we will provide plenty of additional help and support.  With dyslexia, we can provide an assessment if required.

You can find out about both of these areas of specialist tuition below.

With as many as 1:5 children having special educational needs, we are able to put in place all of the necessary additional support to enable them to reach their full potential.  We understand that every child is different and that by creating an individual learning style that suits them, they will respond in a much more positive way.  Working within a nurturing and caring environment, we enable them to build confidence and study independently, taking as much time as is needed to achieve their set goals.

If necessary, we can liaise with your child’s school in order to clearly understand any difficulties and put in place methods to overcome them; this also ensures total consistency of support and tuition. With specialist staff who can adapt to suit any particular learning style, we are able to provide you with peace of mind, knowing that your child will be accompanied during their learning journey by staff who care and understand them and their needs.

Whatever type of specific learning needs your child has, get in touch now so that we can discuss it further in complete confidence.

If your child has dyslexia or other related specific tendencies, it does not mean that they have to get left behind when it comes to adequate tuition and learning.  Our team are able to provide specialist tuition for dyslexic pupils of all ages.  If you require a formal dyslexia assessment, this can be provided, producing a profile of strengths and weaknesses which can be used to guide development at school and used during tuition sessions with us. This screening process can identify specific difficulties and strategies to help overcome them from the age of around 7 years.  This provides plenty of time to put in place sufficient support to ensure that the student achieves their full potential.

The dyslexia screening is booked at a separate time to a normal teaching session and is carried out on a 1-2-1 basis, being available to all children over 7 years of age.  They do not need to be a Horizon student to access this resource.  The screening takes about 1 ½ hours and costs £225 which includes a detailed report for both parents and the student’s school.
